  • Assist the Financial Manager in implementing the investment plans for GEC and preparing the annual operating and capital budgets
  • Coordinate with the manager in developing strategies based on perspectives of historical performance, the competitive landscape, business unit opportunities, and financing capabilities.
  • Assist the manager in analyzing the financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions
  • Conduct research, as directed by the Manager  to provide analysis of -a.      The direction of markets, and the relative attractions of investments in different geographies/ projects/ sectors.b.      The impact of economic influences on each industry and potential market-moving events.c.       The macroeconomic factors that influence the economies of countries in Middle East and throughout the world.
  • Interpret data affecting investment programs, such as price, yield, and stability, future trends in investment risks, and economic influences and Prepare plan of action for investment based on financial analyses.
  •  Determine changes that will enhance value for GEC and, if so, what types of transactions, investments, or moves would be optimal.
  • Analyze key operational performance metrics to understand drivers of revenue, expenses and operational risks.
  • Detect liquidity trends by appraising GEC’s "working capital" ratio. This ratio measures a GEC’s short-term cash availability and equals current assets minus current liabilities.
  • Evaluate and compare the relative quality of various securities in a given industry; Liaise with banks and financial institutions with regard to day to day treasury operations.
  • Develop and manage financial forecasting models and tools to support financial planning and forecasting processes on a companywide basis.
  • Conduct preliminary analysis of overall (cross industry/ geography) investment opportunities.
  • Check import and export LCs and check credit limits as sanctioned by banks
  • Execute all activities required for investments in different asset classes, e.g., Real Estate, Equities and through different instruments, e.g., portfolio, direct investments.
  • Determine the rates of return on investments to ensure that investment objectives are achieved and to recommend changes as required.
  • Advise the organization on the suitability of investments to ensure the best returns consistent with the investment policy.
  • Provide information to Finance & Accounts section for incorporation of investments related entries in the book of accounts.

Qualification / Experience / Skills

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance /Accounts/Commerce with minimum 8 years of experience in similar position in MEP Industry.
  • Advanced Computers skills in MS Office and other software’s (Oracle).
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, principles and practices of operational cost accounting, Budgeting ,cash management techniques, country financial codes, rules, and regulations related to fiscal operation & Database software Application.
